Territorial Brand

Nuqui, Chocó

Nuqui is an isolated region of the Colombian Pacific Coast which is primarily populated by indigenos Ebera and AfroColombians. While it is an exceptionally beautiful region, it has long been plagued by both violence from paramilitary groups and the eye of multinational corporations. In an effort to responsibly facilitate responsible and sustainable ethno-tourism in the middle of a transitionary protected forest and coast, we worked with a number of communities to develop a brand that encompassed their conservation vision. Together, with communities that encompass the region, we planning and implemented workshops to create a brand that represents cooperative management of natural resources, forest, mangroves and the sea. Through creation of this brand, healthy practices were established, such as: responsible fishing, tourism and recycling.
