(ღˇ◡ˇ)~♥ This Dashboard was designed, developed and maintained by Rica Zamora Duchateau – Julia Dunn – Hiroko Nagasawa – Garrett Young. During the pandemic, a small team of people from civil society wanted to make public the real-time data on vaccinations, covid cases, deaths, among others, so that it was easily accessible, I just helped to give it visibility on the web.
The Democratic People’s Republic of Laos has a population of 7 million , it is located between Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, China and Vietnam.
On 31 December 2019 Lao PDR’s Ministry of Health activated its Public Health Emergency Operations Center. In January 30 Laos announced that it will set up a task force committee to tackle the spread of the new coronavirus that originated in Wuhan, China. The task force assesses the impact of an outbreak, although no case has yet been confirmed in the country. On September 24 of 2021, only 16 deaths have been reported in the country. On July 13, 2021 The lancet published an investigation on Low seroprevalence of COVID-19 in Lao PDR, late 2020.
